Daniel Picard is a photographer based in Ottawa. His portfolio contains the usual suspects — portraiture, action shots, animal shots, location photography, etc — but he recently got in touch with us about his most recent personal project, which certainly stands out for uniqueness. In the words of Daniel, “I’m basically bringing my toys, which are roughly 6″ to 12″ tall, into my world and making them look like they are full-size.” Inventively shot and with an endearing feeling of cheekiness and wit attached to them, the series reminds me of a cross between District 9 and Toy Story, and it’s a creative way to stand out with something a little bit different.
